[Seoul] Discover Seoul Pass Card - Seoul official Tourist Pass

•  How to book Discover Seoul Pass Card

1. After reserving through Seoul Pass, show your voucher (or mobile voucher) and get a real card

2. Visit the designated attraction within 5 years after purchasing the card

3. This card becomes active immediately and the countdown starts after visiting the first attraction(Including use of AREX train and Ttareungi bike).

4. Show your card to the ticket box at each attraction in exchange for entrance tickets!

• How to use Ttareungi

(Select the desired language and proceed)

1. Download Ttareungi Application then one the top right-hand corner, select "Non-member" → "Voucher purchase" 

2. From "Classification of vouchers" choose "One day voucher"

3. At "Method of payment", choose Discover Seoul Pass and insert the QR-code number (Qr-code number is located on the physical card underneath the QR image).

4. After the purchase, dial in the 8 digit number on the bicycle and finish renting.

• How to use AREX?

1. 1.  Download the Seoul Pass app and click Check Arex Boarding Pass or Discover Seoul Pass application.

2. Scan the QR code on the back of the card you have or enter the 10-digit serial number to retrieve your AREX boarding pass code.

3. Enter the 13-digit AREX boarding pass code into the AREX ticketing machine to exchange it for a physical boarding pass.

※ Even if you don't board the train, your Discover Seoul Pass will be valid from the time the AREX boarding pass is issued.

• East Desk Location : Across from Exit 2, SK Roaming Center 

• Operating Hours : 06:00~22:00 / Everyday

1-2. Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 West Desk, 1F

• West Desk Location : Across from Exit 13, SK Roaming Center 

• Operating Hours : 24 hours / Everyday

2. Incheon International Airport  Terminal 2 

• Location : Passenger Terminal 2 - SK Roaming Center located between Gate 4-5 on Level 1

• Operation Hours : 24 hours/365 days

3. Myeong-dong Tourist Information Center 

• Location: 181 Eulji-ro 2-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul (Euljiro 1-ga Station, Exit 5)

• Operation Hours: Monday ~ Sunday 09:00~18:00 (Off on Korean lunar new year & Korean Thanksgiving day)

4. Seoul Tourist Information and Souvenir Shop (Seoul Tourism Plaza)

• Location:  1F, 85, Cheonggyecheon-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea

• Operating Hours: Monday ~ Sunday 09:00~18:00(Off at Lunar new year & Korean Thanksgiving day)

1. The time limit of this card becomes active immediately after visit one of the free attractions with the pass(Including use of AREX train and Ttareungi bike).

2. To use it as a transportation card, you must top-up first at the nearby convenience store(Excluding GS25 ) or subway. (Except KTX, ITX stations)

3. If you visit a tourist site using Discover Seoul Pass, you must bring a physical card with you. You cannot use it without a physical card.

4. The business hours or holidays of each attraction may change depending on their internal conditions. Please check the opening hours before visiting.

5. Check for free admission to palaces/art galleries on the Day of Culture (last Wednesday of the month (as of 2016)) by government policy and age benefits (such as the age of 65 or older) and use the card efficiently.

6. Information on the use of Discover Seoul Pass or the franchise tourist attractions may change without notice.

7. Details can be found on the homepage or Discover Seoul Pass or Smartphone application.

8. We do not hold responsibility for any disputes regarding the use of Discover Seoul Pass purchased from non-registered retailers.

9. Once the QR code on the pass is damaged, you cannot use it. We do not hold responsibility for any damages. Please take good care of the card.

12. Please note that request a partial refund/cancel is not available so if you would like to change the amount of pass then cancel on your end and re-purchase the pass. 

13. Before the change, Arex/Ttareungi/USIM/Traveler's insurance can be used regardless of pass hours, however, Please note that as of now Arex/Ttareungi/USIM/Traveler's insurance can be used on 24/48/72 hours which you've purchased. (24/48/72 hours will be counted as you enter the first attraction.

• Before receiving the card: 100% refund 

• After receiving the card: Unused passes within 30 days of the purchase date can be returned to Myeongdong Tourist Information Center for a refund. (No cash refunds)

※ Visit Myeongdong Tourist Information Center → Present the undamaged pass and the purchase receipt together → Provide the refundee's email address to the on-site staff to receive a return confirmation → Receive the return confirmation (by email) → Proceed to cancel the payment at the place of purchase.

• Even if not received the card after purchase, refunds are unavailable after 30 days

Q. What happens if I didn’t pick up the card?

A. If you didn’t pick your card up due to external reasons, such as flight delay, please check the operating hours of the pickup places and pick up the card on the desired date and on the desired place. However, you must bring a mobile voucher (email voucher).

Q. Where can I get a refund on the transportation card bill?

A. 1) If the balance is less than 30,000 KRW, refunds can be made at the convenience store or subway transporation card service center (refund fee 500 KRW)

2) If the balance is less than 50,000 KRW, refunds can be made at subway transporation card service center (refund fee 500 KRW)

3) If the balance exceeds 50,000 KRW, please visit Korea Smart Card Town.

Q. What is the expiration date of the Discover Seoul Pass?

A. In the case of a non-used (non-activated) pass, the valid period is 5 years from the date of receiving. (Date of issue is written on the back of the card) However, there is no limit in the period for the transporation card function.

Q. How do I get a discount on performance / Duty-Free Shops?

A. You must present a physical card on the spot.
