[Seoul Hongdae] Make your own flat shoes

Cho Hyeongman Workshop, located in Hongdae, offers shoe-making class taught by the craftsman Hyeongman Cho who has been making shoes for the past four decades.

Make your own flat shoes in a shoe-making workshop that has been continued for two generations. Choose the color and texture you like and cut the pattern according to the shape of your feet. This pair of shoes will become a special gift you will never forget.

・Cho Hyeongman Workshop is a workshop led by Hyeongman Cho who has been making shoes for the past four decades. 

・To finish a pair of shoes, you need to go through 70 to 80 steps. As a result of such painstaking care and effort, you can make shoes that fit your feet perfectly with great comfort. 

・Measure the exact size of your feet. Check if there are any particular considerations for the design. And choose the leather.  

・Create the patterns using last* and masking tape. 
*Shoe last: a foot-shaped form used for making or repairing shoes. 

・Place the pattern on the leather and trace.  Cut the leather to make upper and lining.

・Along the central line, stretch and fix the upper leather and lining, and then smooth it out with grinder. 

・Attach the sole and heel. Place the inner sole to finish the flat shoes.

30 min: Measuring feet size and shape, selecting leather 
60 min: Pattern making
60 min: Making the upper leather and lining
60 min: Making the bottom part of the shoes
30 min: Attaching the sole and finishing

3. Please arrive on time on the day of the reservation. (Please arrive 10 minutes before the lesson time)

4. Present the voucher to the staff and start your experience!

3. This experience only available from 15yrs~ 60yrs.

4. Please input your shoes size, when make a reservation.

5. Experience is available using Korean or English. 

• Cancellation before 3 days (before KST 5PM) : 100% Refund

• Cancellation before 1-2 days (before KST 5PM): 70% Refund

• No refund after that
