Suwon Hwaseong
Suwon Hwaseong is the first planned 'new town in the Joseon Dynasty. From 1794, it took more than 2 years for it to be finished. Although it was only built for 220 years, it was registered as the UNESCO World Heritage in 1997. Even though it was slightly destroyed during the Japanese occupation period, it is now well restored.
Hwaseong Train
Hwaseong Train connects the Paldalsan Mountain and the Yeonmudae. Ride on the train and travel for 30 mins(3.2 km), and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Suwon Hwaseong.
Hwaseong Haenggung
Haenggung used to be used as a temporary residence when King Jeongjo visited Hyoryungwon. It was larger and more magnificent than any other royal palace and was highly utilized, leading to the creation of the term "sub-palace" in Gyeongbokgung Palace.
