The Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival is a representative winter festival held every year in Hwacheon, Gangwon-do.

Visitors can enjoy a unique experience of ice fishing for sancheoneo, a mountain trout raised in clean, fresh water. 

In addition to ice fishing, the festival offers a variety of winter activities such as snow sledding, ice sculpture exhibitions, and a nighttime light festival, making it especially popular among families. 

It's an ideal winter travel destination. Recognized as one of Korea's leading winter festivals, the Sancheoneo Festival attracts countless domestic and international visitors every year.

Eobi Ice Valley

Eobi Ice Valley is a perfect winter destination, known for its majestic ice walls and clear valley scenery. 

A 25-meter-high ice wall forms along the stream flowing from Mt. Eobi, creating a stunning natural sculpture that can only be seen in winter. 

With wooden walking paths and photo spots, it's a popular place for taking memorable pictures. Especially from the bridge, the view of the ice wall offers a breathtaking winter landscape.
