[Seoul Euljiro] Hand-Engraved Stone Seal Workshop in Korean Alphabet

Design your Hangeul name and create your own unique handmade stone stamp (seal).

In this workshop, you will use the engraving technique on soft stone to carve the letters for your seal. 

A seal is an art form that captures your story on a small stone fragment in a special way, combining the three elements of beautiful calligraphy, drawing, and carving. It will be your one-of-a-kind signature, your stamp.

Tool Practice (Surface engraving): Before engraving letters on the stamp face, you will carve simple drawings or patterns on the side of the stone to practice handling the engraving tools and get a feel for the process.

Hangeul Design and Engraving: You will design your Hangeul name in a way that highlights your personality and style.

Intricate Carving: To engrave the letters, you'll start with thin lines and gradually widen the thickness of the characters. By remaining calm, having patience, and focusing on the line your fingertips follow, your unique signature will be completed.

Workshop Process

Total duration : 1 hour 30 minutes

Class explanation → Engraving practice → Design your signature → Engrave the stone seal → Stamping test → Photo shoot

1. Complete your reservation for your preferred date and time.

2. Check the voucher sent to the email/mobile.

 ※ Voucher will be sent after the operator confirms your reservation.

3. Please make sure to arrive at least 10 minutes beforehand.

4. Present the voucher to the staff and proceed with the experience.

1. This workshop is a hands-on program where participants use the tools and materials provided to create the product themselves.

2. Children aged 13 and over can participate in the workshop. Children aged 13 and under may accompany participants in the experience.

3. Participants in the workshop will receive a stone seal case, an ink pad, and a picture postcard featuring beautiful Korean scenery.

4. If you would like to make an additional stamp during the workshop hours, the cost is 40,000 KRW, which includes an 8,000 KRW discount. You can pay by card or cash at the studio.

5. Workshop participants receive a 10% discount (excluding discounted items) with a tax-free benefit when purchasing products sold at the studio.

6. Custom Orders are Available - If you prefer a professional to make it for you rather than doing it yourself, or if you don't have time to attend the workshop, you can place an order. We will discuss your desired style and create the stamp for you. You can visit the studio to pick up your ordered stamp or have it delivered by mail. 

7. The workshop is conducted in English, Japanese, and Korean. However, even those who are not fluent in English or Korean can participate. We have prepared an AI transfer to facilitate communication in your preferred language.
