[Suwon] Suwon Hwaseong Festival Immersive Art Performance [Jinchan - Feast of Memories]

An immersive court performance that combines real historical spaces with digital technology, offering a modern reinterpretation of 'Jinchan', the banquet King Jeongjo held in 1795 at Bongsudang, Hwaseong Haenggung, to celebrate his mother, lady Hyegyeong Hong's 60th birthday.

Synopsis

《Jinchan - Feast of Memories》begins in the darkness of Bongsudang and tells the story of that night in 1795, brought to life from the deepest memories of Lady Hyegyeong Hong.
The Jinchan banquet, which was a political and emotional tribute through which King Jeongjo offered his 'filial devotion' to his mother, is reimagined within her inner world as a 'feast of memories', where life's glory and loss, restoration, and forgiveness intersect. 

The audience becomes guests invited to a royal banquet, joining an emotional journey that traverses a woman's life within a sensorial stage shaped by 360-degree spatial sound and a media facade.

The language of traditional court dance is deconstructed and reimagined, becoming a single ray of light blooming in the darkness of Bongsudang. The serene dance illuminated by that light carries both the unspoken sorrow and the radiant briliance of a royal woman.
[Jinchan - Feast of Memories] is a stage where the past and present converge, an emotional space where loss and restoration intersect, and an unforgettable feast of the senses where tradition and modernity are harmoniously interwined.

3. On the day of your reservation, visit the Information booth at Hwaseong Haenggung Palace Plaza in Suwon and present your voucher.

4. After your voucher is verified, exchange it for a physical ticket and enter Bongsudang at Hwaseong Haenggung Palace.

5. Enjoy the performance.

1. Reservation confirmation and ticket collection : Tickets can be collected at the ticket booth in Hwaseong Haenggung Palace Plaza, starting from 2 hours before the program begins. (* 17:30)

2. Entry is not allowed after the performance has started, so please arrive early to collect your tickets.
