[Suwon] The 61st Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival One Day Tour (10/4-6)

The Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival, held annually in the fall, is a representative Korea traditional cultural celebration, and has been listed as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Visitors can enjoy a diverse array of activities taht vividly recreate the atmosphere of the Joseon Dynasty.

Suwon Fantasy - Nakseongyeon 'Sanghadongnak'

The performance content is based on the 'Nakseongyeon' held by King Jeongjo in 1796 to commemorate the completion of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. 

It includes various traditional performances, such as agricultural music, opera, traditional rope walking, etc., and is the core activity of the cultural festival.

You will watch outdoor performances including Maehwapo (small-scale fireworks) with songs, dances, and videos.

Jagunggagyo Season 2
Inspired by the palanquin gifted by King Jeongjo to his mother, Lady Hyegyeong, this drama delivers the piety of King Jeongjo and the meaning of Jinchanyeon (Royal Birthday Feast).

It is an indoor performance, where you can sit down and watch it, and English subtitles are provided.니다.

King Jeongjo's Royal Parade

It is the nation's largest royal parade that perfectly reproduces the eight-day large-scale parade ordered by King Jeongjo, the 22nd king of Joseon, in 1795.

King's Dessert

A gourmet program where you can experience traditional royal refreshments enjoyed by the King Jeongjo at Hwaseong Haenggung Temporary Palace.

Immersive Art Performance 'Hwaryeong'

Hwaryeong Hall, located within Hwaseong Fortress, houses the portrait(影幀) of King Jeongjo.

This nighttime live performance on the stage of Hwaryeong Hall combines immersive sound and lighting to showcase the historical and cultural significance of King Jeongjo's era.

As a mobile performance, wear noise-canceling headphones and listen to the sound while watching media art at Hwaryeong Hall!
